Clay plaster is mainly used for interior decoration and it is possible to apply it to wooden services by installing a plaster mesh or a straw mat. The advantage of clay plaster is its health benefits, as clay plaster has the ability to absorb excess moisture during the wet seasons and release the moisture back into the room during dryer times. A clay plaster environment is also allergy free.
We would advise clay plaster to be used in premises that lack forced ventilation, e.g. farm houses, etc. Clay plaster should not be used in bathrooms, kitchens, etc.
The average thickness of a layer should be 8-12 mm. At least 2 layers should be applied.
When necessary 3 to 4 layers may be used.
